Dear Mayor Lightfoot: We Accept Your Invitation

A central aspect to Mayor-Elect Lightfoot’s campaign was openness and transparency in Chicago government. Part of this inclusive city government includes making space at the decision-making table for all Chicagoans. She vows “to govern with openness, transparency, and accountability in partnership with people and groups and not in opposition to them."

Join us for lunch and: 

• Share your thoughts on:
  • creating collaborations between citizens and government based on her campaign promises 
  • developing new and effective ways for public input in government participation
  • how you want to take your seat at the table
• Meet and network with fellow civic-minded Chicagoans  
• Begin to create a video memo to the Mayor on how to make it easier for your community to participate in city government
